    About Busvan for Bargains

From a 2002 SFGATE article about the closing of Busvan for Bargains: A family business that will be history by summertime, Busvan has endured earthquakes of the geologic, economic and designer-fad kind. Early on, its owners found a successful formula offering part antique store, part value- priced furniture mart and part storehouse of local oddities. Busvan is a standout in ambience alone: the well-worn wooden floors, the gigantic funhouse clown head that's a genuine relic from Playland-at-the-Beach, the wall-mounted deer head with the earnest brown eyes and the sign that says "Credit Manager."

Wonderful furniture store. It was open for 56 years. As far as I know the sign on the downtown location (Battery at Vallejo) is still there or it was a couple of years ago. Closed in 2002; here’s the SFGate article: https://www.sfgate.com/business/article/Quirky-S-F-furniture-store-to-close-2857449.php
